Biography of Ho Chi Minh - North Vietnamese Revolutionary Leader | Vietnam War Documentary. Perf. Bernard B. Fall. The Best Film Archive, 1975. Film. The documentary was made nearing the end of the Vietnam War. It had Bernard. B. Fall's interview who knew most about Ho Chi Minh and Vietnam back then. The part we used was when he talked about the nationalism that was highly used in Vietnam. There were also films that showed his nationalism.

There was a chapter where it had the quote that Ho metaphorically stated on guerrilla warfare and its possible success against super powers like France and America. It emphasizes importance of guerrilla warfare in Vietnam and the dependence on it in order to win the major Indochina Wars.

This book supported much of our project in terms of analyzing, interpreting, and proving our thesis. The pictures, primary sources, and secondary explanations made this source very crucial to our project. It went chronologically according to Ho's life and was very detailed in what was going on back then.

Duiker, William J. Ho Chi Minh: A Life. New York: Hyperion, 2000. Print. This secondary source had lots of Primary Resources such as quotes and passages embedded into it. The Primary sources in it helped portray Ho's leadership and legacy.
Fall, Bernard B. Ho Chi Minh on Revolution: Selected Writing. New York: Praeger, 1967. Print. This collection of Ho's writings, letters, speeches, etc. provided information about his ideology. It was a source of evidence to prove our points in the website.

This had accounts of Ho Chi Minh, presidents, American and Vietnamese people. It helped explain the reasoning behind the Vietnam War and what was going on in that time through primary sources.

Our group was fortunate to have a professor, Dror Olga, from the Texas A and M University who was willing to have an interview on Ho Chi Minh. She explained many of the questions we had on our topic, gave a background on what was going on that time, and analyzed the situation in Vietnam very well.

This document was also closely linked with the agreements made in the Geneva Conference, but this was specifically towards Vietnam. There were many military and well as civilian related discussions in this document that were made to hopefully settle the tensions in Vietnam before the 2nd Indochina War.

This book had 2 pages on what Lieutenant Fenn thought of Ho Chi Minh. It had the detailed accounts of what happened dring Ho’s fight against Japanese imperialism along with the negotiations made with the OSS team and the Viet Minh.

It was fascinating to know that even a Soviet Union president admired Ho as a simple and pure communist leader. It symbolizes Ho’s powerful influence on even the greatest Communist countries in the world.

As Time magazine is made from the United States, it showed an American point of view on the Vietnam conflict and Ho's influence there. There were some quotes by well known scholars and professors on Vietnam along with some of Ho's.

This book is from an actual North Vietnam military colonel. He has his own perspective on Ho Chi Minh of his good and bad side on this chapter. He agrees that Ho Chi Minh played a major role in liberating and uniting Vietnam and explains why.

This site had primary and secondary information on some of the military procedures and statistics during the Vietnam War. There was helpful facts as well as descriptions to better understand and record the events and effects of the war.

Our group was very fortunate to find this website, because it had many collections of writings from Ho Chi Minh to other foreign countries including the U.S. along with the letters from the countries back to Ho Chi Minh. There were many significant documents and quotes from this source.

This was the actual documents and negotiations made in the Geneva Conference on what is to happen to Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam. This supported us with the purpose of the Geneva Conference and what it did to Vietnam later on.
